We didn't know about these passings until a few days ago until we received an email from the family. Howard R. Padgitt was from the class of June 1947. Charles A. Padgitt was from the class of June 1944. Both will be missed dearly. Our deepest condolences go out to the Padgitt Family.

Holly Strains let us know that her mother Bette Jane Schindler (Bette Hedeen Schindler, class of January 1944) passed away on September 14, 2015.

Bette graduated from Steinmetz High School in Chicago along with Hugh Hefner whose picture is next to hers in the yearbook. She was a secretary until she married her beloved husband Vern. They both ran Flossmoor Pharmacy where Bette enjoyed socializing with all the customers. They enjoyed traveling across the US and retired to Bayonet Point, Florida. Bette always had a Schnauzer in her life. She was loved by many and will be missed by more.
